Happy Fun Time

September 19, 2011

Where has it gone.  I used to love having a laugh and a joke, but more and more these days I seem to be introverted.

My mood is up and down more than a whores drawers.  Maybe I have a brain tumour….  Similar symptoms and outbursts so I hear.

Or maybe it could be something as simple as me being a moody wander who needs to get his shit together and start living for today.  Not the future and the past.

I’m kinda hoping for the former.  Sadistic or callous?  Maybe both.

Hey.  Maybe thats why the Doc gives me so many pills? 🙂

Updated About

It’s been a while coming, but I finally redone my ‘About’ page.

It now includes up to-date uninteresting information that nobody will really want to read.

Blogger asks for sperm…

September 24, 2008

You find yourself amazed by something everyday on the net and today is no exception.

I found myself reading about a blogger on http://ebjones.typepad.com/eric_jones_weblog_the_gar/ who amazingly, but truly enough, is asking her readership for sperm.  I’ll plagiarize a few select quotes here:

I always imagined that I would have my first baby after being married and that having a family would be more of a partnership than a solo venture. But as we all know, life rarely goes as expected.

Now, I’m not looking for a source of child support or a baby-daddy in the sense that he should have any supportive role in the pregnancy or in raising the child, I just need some good, hearty seed.

Now, my first thought was to go to a sperm bank because it doesn’t get much more NSA than that, but I had to reject this idea.  First, pay for semen?  Really??  That notion goes into the same bucket as paying for air or sunshine or, well, sex.

And so it goes on to the point where she asks for donations, and not via Paypal…..

Anyway, read more via the above link and be amazed, appalled or simply leave your details for her…

.me

July 18, 2008

With the launch of the new .me domain names there have been plenty of decent new names available.

Godaddy has had a few problems with people trying to buy up the really popular addresses.  Think Awso.me.

Well, I couldn’t be left out of the loop.  But with the .me’s going for between £20-£25 for two years as a minimum, I could only really afford one.  And that was at a push.

I’m sure you can guess which one it was.  No?  Surely you can…

Munch.Me is now my property.  Well at least for two years.  At the moment both addresses, ie munchme.net and munch.me work, with munch.me being a web forward.  I will keep them both up until I have the chance to move everything over to Munch.Me permanently, which shouldn’t be too long.  I’ll of course post as and when.

Any other webmasters out there reading this, there are plenty of great .me domains left up for grabs.  I would have had them by now if only I had the funds.  Be quick!

A Podcast?

July 8, 2008

Over the time I have spent designing, publishing and running websites I have run a couple of short lived podcasts. These have mainly failed because I didn’t have the time to dedicate to them in the first place. Of course they could have failed even if I had had due to lack of interest or any other number of things. Success is hard to come by I should imagine.

So you may ask what I’m getting at. Well quite simply I am considering giving myself another run out on the podcast circuit. I intend to cater to my strengths if I decide to go ahead, which is by no means certain. My ideas are based around things i talk about on this blog minus the personal content. Think tech mainly.

As I said however, this is only the start of my thinking. Stay tuned for more thoughts as and when they happen.

Slow day

May 29, 2008

Nothing much to update you with today.

It’s been a slow one with the girls away and I have been feeling a little under the weather, tired and run down.  Nothing that a couple of early nights won’t fix.

I also sold my PS3 to fund the purchase of something I have been wanting for a while.  Details to follow.  Stay tuned.

Oh, and if you are a regular reader you will remember me mentioning changing the type of content of this blog or creating a new one.  Well that new one is now up and running and obviously I can’t reveal the details here as that would negate the point of having it.

Changing Content?

May 26, 2008

I read an article in my Sunday paper yesterday about blogging….

It basically said that brutally honest bloggers get the readers, but there is a price to pay if you aren’t posting anonymously. Now I know that some people who know me read my blog but those people generally know me pretty well and the kind of things I would blog about if I were to up the ‘honesty’ stakes with what I write. I am very tempted to start laying everything down here for the world to read and no doubt it would make a much more interesting read. But, and it’s a big but, I am not sure if I am ready for the kind of detail that it would entail being so very very public.

My blog has been going in one form or another for nearly two years and I know that it can sometimes be a little bland when my life is so much further from it.

The way I see it I have three choices:

  1. Keep the current blog content the same
  2. Start blogging without fear as if this was a truly person diary as I talked about above.
  3. Start a new blog that is anonymous and us that as my ‘no holds barred’ forum of content.

As you can tell by this post, I haven’t decided yet. But of course I will update here when the choice is made.

In other blog related news:

I have activated a ‘related posts’ feature that displays other posts i have made that have some form of relevancy to the post being read. You can see what I mean by reading a post in depth; that is, clicking it.

The tagging feature has also been updated with all previous posts being tagged and a tag cloud added to the right sidebar of the site.

A few other modifications are still in the works and they will appear as and when.
